Recipes for tender and juicy steak
If you are in possession of a good quality pressure cooker, it would be a shame to use it only for soups or boiled corn, and not to diversify its use in other delicious recipes. That's why we decided to offer you some steak recipes, delicious, quick and easy to prepare, which we think you will enjoy experimenting with your loved ones.
Pork steak with garlic and onion
This recipe is aimed primarily at pork lovers who want a tender and juicy food, full of flavor. If you wisely choose the piece of meat from which to prepare the food, you can enjoy a fatter or leaner stew, depending on your preferences. The chef's recommendation is to opt for either the back or the pulp, these being tender enough, but if you prefer you can also focus on a piece of neck.
Even if your desire to eat meat as dietary as possible is perfectly understandable, when you opt for this recipe you must keep in mind that a little fat offers another flavor and another tenderness, so the chop, for example, is not a choice great.
Returning to our pork: for a quantity of 1.5 – 2 kg of pork you must prepare abundantly with peppers, onions, garlic and the right spices. You need 6 – 8 onions, 10 cloves of garlic, at least 2 kapia or fat peppers. In addition, you will use a drop of oil, salt, pepper, paprika and cumin seeds for cooking; depending on your preferences, you can adapt the spices in such a way as to be as much as possible to your taste.
Put a drop of oil in the pressure cooker in which the cumin seeds are fried. When it begins to spread the specific flavor, add the meat: either in larger pieces to cut, or directly cut into generous cubes. They are browned over high heat for 3-4 minutes on each side, so that the outside caramelizes and keeps the juice inside. Depending on the pot and the heat source, this browning can last up to 20 minutes.
The meat can be temporarily removed on a plate, after which the remaining onions are seasoned in the oil, cut with scales, with salt, together with the pepper and with half the amount of garlic. Once they have softened, add the pieces of meat again, season with pepper, paprika and salt.
Add about 100 ml of water, fix the lid and cook for about an hour on low heat. Depending on the consistency of the resulting sauce and its amount, once the lid is removed, it can be boiled to reduce it.
It is a recipe that goes perfectly with a creamy mashed potato and a seasonal salad, or with polenta, salted cheese and some spicy cucumbers.
Beef steak with vegetables
Beef is very tasty, but it must be cooked well to become tender and juicy. And the recipe we propose to you this time we believe will be suitable for a very wide range of people.
To prepare it you need a few slices of beef – preferably veal, but with the help of the pot you will be able to provide a pleasant texture and mature animal meat. To this are added 4-5 peeled potatoes, a finely chopped onion, diced celery, sliced carrot, yellow pods, sliced bell pepper, 300g tomatoes in broth, and if they are on your children's favorite ingredients list you can add a handful of red and white beans, some peas or some corn, or all together.
For seasoning, our proposal is to prepare salt, pepper, garlic, thyme and oregano, but you can adjust the flavors according to your own preferences, some gourmets loving for example the subtle aroma of coriander.
In the open pressure cooker, heat a little oil in which you fry the onion and garlic, until they start to change color. Then, put the slices of meat, which are quickly browned over high heat, to keep as much of your own juices as possible. Once the pieces of meat have got a golden-brown tint on both sides, add the rest of the ingredients and season to taste.
Add enough water to cover the mixture halfway. Boil on low heat for 45 to 60 minutes, depending on how old the beef was.
It is very appreciated not only for the multitude of flavors, but also because it does not necessarily require garnish, a salad being enough.
Pork muscles with apples
If you are inspired by the sweet and sour recipes, which are a little out of the pattern of traditional Romanian cuisine, and you have the opportunity to put to work the best pressure cooker , this proposal might suit you.
Our proposal is sized for about 3 servings and includes 500g pork tenderloin, 7-8 apples depending on size and an onion. For seasoning, we offer salt, sage and rosemary, the final flavors being discreet, sweet and sour and oriental inspiration.
Heat a little oil in the pressure cooker, in which the meat is fried with the whole onion. Once the meat has changed color and browned, add 100 ml of water, peeled apples and back and spices and simmer for about 25 minutes.
Once the cooking is over, remove the pieces of meat on a tray, with an equal number of pieces of apples, and crush the remaining apples in the resulting sauce. Add a teaspoon of butter for extra flavor and, if necessary, a teaspoon of flour to thicken the sauce, and boil for a few minutes. Pour the sauce over the whole pieces of the tray. At the end, you can add some green parsley leaves for decoration.
