Appetizer tart with tomatoes, feta and arugula

The other day I prepared an appetizer tart with tomatoes, feta and arugula. It is the kind of appetizer tarts that you make in two strokes and three movements, especially if you have guests or simply want to eat something else.

Fresh dough, a few pieces of feta cheese, a few tomatoes and at the end a generous layer of arugula. All this in a very, very tasty appetizer. Of course you can put ingredients on your taste, it is important to enjoy it with pleasure.

Ingredients:

  • tender dough:
  • 220 gr wheat flour
  • 1/2 lgta salt
  • 100 gr cold butter
  • 60 ml of cold water
  • filling:
  • a feta cheese cube
  • a few cherry tomatoes
  • a few strips of tuna (canned)
  • or mana arugula
  • 1 lg sesame oil
  • sesame seeds (optional)

Preparation

The appetizer dough pie with tomatoes, feta and arugula is prepared very quickly.

In a bowl, sift the flour, add salt and diced cold butter. Knead lightly by hand until you get a sandy dough. Add cold water, kneading quickly so that the butter does not soften. Knead until the dough is smooth.

Attention: do not knead excessively, the dough will not remain fragile, it will become elastic when baked.

Roll out the dough and let it cool for 20-30 minutes.

Meanwhile, prepare the ingredients for the filling.

Tomatoes and arugula are washed under cold running water. The feta cheese is cut into strips / cubes.

After 30 minutes in the cold, remove the dough. Start the oven at 160 degrees C.

Prepare 2 forms of baking. The dough is divided in two, spread quickly in a thin layer and placed in baking pans.

I used a rectangular tray and a small, round one. If you want, you can prepare a single tart, in large shape.

Place the beautiful dough, place the feta strips, a few strips of tuna (optional), a few whole cherry tomatoes. Sprinkle a few sprigs of arugula. Sprinkle the tart with a little sesame oil.

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes. If it is nicely browned, it is a sign that it is ready and can be taken out of the oven. Remove from the oven, leave to cool slightly, then serve garnished with arugula and some sesame seeds.

It is tender, tasty and filling! You can enjoy it with a glass of yogurt or beer 😉
