It's been about a month since I received the picnic invitation from the SunFood team. I kept thinking, I changed my mind, then I thought again… because that's how I am, I like challenges and the idea of creating a fairytale atmosphere for a picnic seemed so cute to me! And everything was quite exciting because everything depended on the weather, weather that was quite capricious and kind of turned my plans upside down. When I was determined that "now is the time" it started to rain, when it was beautiful I didn't have the time or the necessary things to start working. But time passes and the period of the competition is coming to an end and even if fierce clouds were over us I said "whatever it is fi either at the ball or at the hospital" :))
I don't know why she was impressed by the weather de maybe the goodies I prepared, maybe the happy laughter of the children, the joy of seeing my dear friends again… it is certain that the sky cleared, it was warm, it was beautiful and so on I didn't even feel good when time passed and it got dark.
For the menu prepared for this picnic I used all the SunFood products I had at my disposal:
- tomatoes in their own juice
- sweet corn
It was very difficult for me to decide which product to be the star of this picnic, I wanted all the goodies to be in the center of attention, to have their chance 😀 so I brought them all with us.
I must admit that I had some emotions while I prepared the atmosphere, the decor for the picnic. But I breathed a sigh of relief after passing the supervisor test :))
So, come with me to show you what goodies we had at the picnic 😉
From the canned chickpeas I made crispy chickpeas , the recipe HERE . Initially I had planned to make a chickpea paste, a kind of hummus, but the children gave yam in the first round taken out of the oven and then I made another portion. Hummus stays next time :))
From mushrooms and tomatoes in their own juice I planned to make pizza, but I thought that until the next day the pizza will not look so appetizing so I adapted the flower pie recipe HERE and I made pizza croissants. The children were very funny when we sat down to eat… „horns? hmmmm… ”I'm with pizza, I say. "The pizza? Daaaaa… !!! ” It seems that pizza is a magic word! :)))
The sweet corn and the tuna I combined in a delicious salad , the recipe HERE (without egg). The children just nibbled here and there, more of the corn kernels 🙂 but the older ones ate with gusto, especially as they go on a barbecue or after the barbecue and a salad :))
For dessert, that part of the table that we were all looking forward to, I had a caramelized pineapple cake, recipe HERE In the end the cake was declared the winner and judging by the empty plate I think I did not give up " Sweetness ”this time too 😛
At the end, everyone cooled down with a glass of cold lemonade , the lemonade that I improved this time with the pineapple juice. 😉
I now leave you in the company of some pictures from our picnic, pictures that obviously have children as their main characters, they were (the most) lovers of the photo shoot :)) to be solved besides the barbecue :))), and the photographer, as usual, remains unpolished! :)) (click image to view full size)
I hope that our picnic will have made you want to go outdoors, even if it's the middle of the week 😉 You still have 2 days to register for thecontest .
