That's what Alice called the project she started on her blog, and I had the honor of opening it. So, starting today we will cook and eat Romanian with Alice.
My husband, a great lover of traditional food, happily asked… every month? :)))
- 400 g beans
- 2 matching onions
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1/2 canned tomatoes in juice
- 1 carrot
- 1 bay leaf
- dried thyme
- salt and pepper
- chopped green dill
Preparation Beans with sausages:
The beans are soaked the night before. The next day the water is changed and boiled. Change the water at the first boil, add the boiled water again and boil until the beans soften.
Finely chop the onion and simmer in the oil until it becomes glassy. Add the diced tomatoes, along with the juice and the carrot given on the grater with small mesh. Simmer a little more, then "quench" with the juice in which they boiled the beans, add the beans. The taste of salt and pepper matches. Add the bay leaf and a little dried thyme. Let it boil for a few more minutes and serve hot, sprinkled with chopped green dill, as a garnish for fried homemade sausages.
I had more boiled beans and I also made a portion of beans beaten with garlic, plain without hardened onions.
And don't forget: Wherever you are and what you would do Don't forget that you are Roman! (Alice)
