It came to me just for my birthday, so I considered it a gift. :)) A very nice one if you look at it like that, but even nicer after you put it to work.
I put it on a few days later, when I left home, on the great adventure of spending a night fishing. When I got home the food was only good to put on the plate, as I didn't catch much fish :)))
- 2 healthy pieces of beef broth
- 1 large onion
- 2 carrots
- 1 piece of celery
- 500 g tomatoes
- 1 hot pepper (but not too hot)
- 1 cup vegetable soup (I had it in the freezer)
- a sprig of dried thyme
- 2-3 tablespoons oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- green parsley
- lemon peel
Starting from Osso Bucco's recipe , we proceeded like this:
I heated the oil and the piece of butter in a pan, then I lightly browned the pieces of brine on both sides. I put them in the Crock Pot slow cooker bowl, then in layers the julienned onion, sliced carrot, sliced celery, ice cream soup cubes, peeled and mashed tomatoes together with the hot pepper. I put the thyme sprigs on top.
I put the lid on the 4.7 l digital slow cooker Crock Pot and set the program and time – Low program and 8 hours.
When I got home all I had to do was mash the potatoes, chop some parsley, mix it with the lemon peel and sprinkle over the food.
It was very good! 😉
