One last post this year, one last proposal for the New Year's table… I would have liked to share more with you, but the time was not on my side this time. But, it's not a waste of time, there are plenty of opportunities. Acus acus is St. John and we will celebrate together again. 😉
Before I tell you how to make this delicious cheese roll with cream cheese, I want to thank you for all your support I had last year, to thank you for visiting me and for coming back. 🙂 I hope you do it next year as well. I wish you from the bottom of my heart a happy New Year, full of joys and achievements, a quieter year, with good thoughts and understanding.
- 200 g cheese
- 200 g fresh cottage cheese
- 50g butter
- 1 tablespoon sour cream
- 1 small onion
- salt and pepper
- green dill
Method of preparation:
Put a saucepan of water to boil. When the water starts to boil, turn off the heat, put the cheese wrapped in cling film and cover with a lid. Leave it for about 15-20 minutes until the cheese softens very well.
Remove the cheese from the foil and place it on another piece of clean foil. We spread it lightly with the twister (or with our hand 🙂) until it reaches a thickness of about 0.5 cm.
The cottage cheese is mixed with soft butter at room temperature and sour cream, until it becomes a fine and frothy cream. Add finely chopped onion and dill. We match the taste of salt and pepper and "color" the cream cheese with a little paprika.
The cream cheese is spread evenly over the cheese sheet, then roll carefully, as tightly as possible. Wrap in foil and leave to cool for 1 hour, then slice as desired.
