I won't tell you too much about this Chicken Crumble recipe, except that you have to try it too, because it's good. Very good. :)) A delicious and juicy chicken stew covered with a delicious layer of cranberries… Only good for a hungry chicken coming home after the first day of school. ;;)

  • For stew:
  • 4 chicken chops
  • peppercorns

  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 cup tomato juice
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 carrot
  • 1/2 clove garlic
  • salt and pepper
  • fresh basil
  • For crumble:
  • 150 g flour
  • 100 g butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Preparation of chicken crumble:

The cups are boiled in water in which I put peppercorns, coriander, allspice, bay leaf and a little salt. Boil until the meat comes off the bone slightly. Remove the thighs on a plate, let it cool a bit, then remove the meat from the bones and tear the pieces by hand.

In a frying pan lightly fry the finely chopped onion and the carrot given on the grater with small mesh. When they have softened, we "extinguish" them with the tomato juice and let them boil. Add the meat and mix well. If necessary, add a little water or a little juice from the boiled meat. Match the taste of salt and pepper and flavor with a few freshly chopped basil leaves. Let it boil until the stew reaches the desired consistency, but it would be preferable to have a little juice. Near the end, add the crushed garlic. Set the pan aside and let it cool.


Put in a bowl flour mixed with salt and diced cold butter. A crumbly dough is quickly kneaded with your fingertips.

Pour the chicken stew into a heat-resistant dish. Cover with a layer of dough crumbs and bake over medium heat until lightly browned.
