Cinnamon buns

These cinnamon buns are insanely served hot. They are good and cold, but warm… ohhh God! :)) If you don't feel like waking up early in the morning to make them for breakfast, prepare them for the afternoon snack 😉

Cinnamon buns

  • For the dough:
  • 250 ml milk
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 7 g dry yeast
  • ~ 500 g flour
  • For cream cheese:
  • 150 g Almette cheese cream with strawberries
  • 50 g butter
  • 1 teaspoon flavored sugar with lemon
  • For topping:
  • 50 g butter
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon sugar

Preparation Cinnamon buns:

Put the flour in a bowl and mix it with the sugar, salt and dry yeast. We mix the warm milk with the oil and slowly pour it over the flour. Knead a homogeneous and non-sticky dough. Depending on the type of flour used, add more milk if necessary if the dough is too thick or a little flour if the dough is soft and sticky. Cover with a clean towel and leave to rise in a warm place until it doubles in volume.

  • The dough can also be prepared in a bread machine.

We divide the raised dough into small pieces of about 50 g each. We shape each piece of dough in the form of a ball, then we place them in a bowl (or tray) well greased with oil. Leave the bowl in a warm place for a few minutes, until the dough increases its volume again. Melt the butter and grease each bun well. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon, then bake on medium heat for about 40 minutes, until the buns are browned.

Meanwhile, prepare the cream cheese. Soft butter, left at room temperature, mix well with powdered sugar flavored with lemon. You can also use vanilla sugar, vanilla essence… what you like. Then add the cream cheese with strawberries and mix well.
