I decided… for Christmas I make another cinnamon roll . I don't know if instead of cake or next to cake :)) but I make it safe. It is very easy to make and looks very good, with great effect
- It took:
- 1 or
- 7 g dry yeast
- 50 g sugar
- 125 ml milk
- 30 g butter
- ~ 350 g flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon candied orange peel
- 75 g butter
- 4 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
Preparation Cinnamon roll:
Mix the yeast with 1 tablespoon of sugar, 50 ml of warm milk and a little flour. Homogenize and leave in a warm place until it swells and blisters appear on the surface.
Put the mayonnaise in the pan of the bread machine, then add the egg, the rest of the sugar, the salt, the melted and cooled butter, the orange peel, the remaining milk and the flour little by little. Knead until all the ingredients are incorporated and obtain an elastic dough. Let it rise until it doubles in volume.
Soft butter at room temperature mix in a bowl with sugar and cinnamon.
Knead the dough a little, take out the air, and spread it on the lightly floured table in a rectangular sheet about 1 cm thick. Grease the sheet with 3/4 of the butter mixture with cinnamon, then roll the sheet lengthwise as tightly as possible. With a sharp knife, cut the roll in half, lengthwise, leaving a few inches at one end. We twist the 2 strips of dough, trying as much as possible to leave the cut part outside. We twist and join the ends forming the coil, which we put in a tray lined with baking paper.
Grease with the rest of the cinnamon butter and put in the oven over medium heat for about half an hour, until nicely browned.
Serve with a tea or a cup of milk. Delicious!
