I made these cinnamon cookies for the kids, for the school package. But the smell that filled the house made me think of Christmas :)) and they will certainly not be missing from the list of cake recipes for the Holidays.
- 200 g butter
- 150 g sugar (powder)
- 2 eggs
- 400-450 g flour
- 1 baking powder
- vanilla essence
- 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons sugar
Preparation Cinnamon cookies:
The soft butter, left at room temperature, is mixed with the sugar and vanilla essence until a fluffy cream is obtained. Then add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each, and a pinch of salt.
- Try to put them when you add eggs without stopping mixing, thus avoiding cutting the cream.
Then add the flour mixed with baking powder and a pinch of salt. Put the mixer aside and mix with a spatula.
- Depending on the type of flour used, it will need somewhere around 400 g, if necessary add as much as you can to obtain a soft composition that can be shaped, without sticking to your hands.
Put the ground cinnamon in a plate and mix it with the sugar. We break pieces of dough and shape them into balls. We then roll each ball through cinnamon, either directly into the plate, or put a little in your palm and cover the dough ball on all sides, depending on how much cinnamon you want to be on each cookie.
We place them in the stove tray lined with baking paper
and bake on medium heat for about 20 minutes, until the cookies are nicely raised and browned "on the sole".
Remove to a grill and leave to cool.
