For today I prepared some potato balls with cheese , crispy and very tasty. They can be served as such or as a garnish for a red and juicy steak 🙂
- 4 medium potatoes
- 50 g butter
- 100 g cheese
- 1 or
- a few tablespoons of flour
- salt and pepper
- a nutmeg powder
- breadcrumbs and oil for frying
Preparation Potato dumplings with cheese:
The potatoes are washed very well and boiled in salted water. After they have boiled (check with a fork), pass them under a stream of cold water and peel them. We put them in a bowl and pass them as for puree. Then add the butter, grated cheese on a small grater, egg, salt, pepper and nutmeg, to taste. We also put 1-2 tablespoons of flour, enough to bind the composition and we can shape it.
We form balls from the composition, with a wet hand. Roll them in breadcrumbs in abundance, then fry them in an oil bath until golden.
Serve hot, but cold are just as good.
