They come quickly with a good recipe, namely, fasting snails, with halva.
Among the goodies received from Feleacul , the star of the fasting season is the well-known halva. Ever since I was a child, I remember that during fasting, my mother consumed halva.
This year Feleacul celebrates 100 years of Romanian tradition and we hate them as many as possible. They have a wide range of halva, simple, with cocoa, with cranberries, with raisins. You have a choice
Now, I opened a box of cocoa halva, tasted a piece, came back, took another piece and said to myself: but how good it is !! And of course another bit followed :)))
Today I quickly prepared some fasting snails with halva! You can’t even imagine how good they turned out.
Small, fluffy and sweet!

- 500 gr white wheat flour
- 7 gr dry yeast
- 1 pinch of salt
- 30 gr sugar
- 30 ml of sunflower oil
- 300 ml of warm water
- 1 sachet of cinnamon sugar
- halva with cocoa Feleacul
Method of preparation:
These fasting snails with halva are very easy to prepare. It is an economical and very good recipe!
In a bowl, sift the flour with a pinch of salt. Make a place in the middle of the flour, add sugar, yeast, oil and a little water. Mix lightly with a wooden spoon, then knead lightly, adding warm water. When the dough has become dense, non-sticky and homogeneous, cover with a towel, leave to rise in a warm place.
You can start the oven, at 170 degrees C, baking up / down, with ventilation.
After it has grown nicely, it is taken out on a floured countertop. Knead lightly, then set aside.
A package of halva is unwrapped, which everyone wants, the range is varied. Crumble in a bowl.
Dough the dough in half, spread out rectangular sheets, not very thin, but not very thick. Sprinkle the halva on the entire surface of the dough, sprinkle a little cinnamon or whatever you want. Roll tightly, then cut the slices about 3 cm.
Place in a tray with baking paper. After all is formed, cover the tray with a clean towel and leave for another 15 minutes in a warm place.
Bake for 15 minutes, until nicely browned. They should not be kept longer because they are small and bake quickly.
Then remove from the oven, cover the tray with a towel and leave to cool. Serve hot with a hot tea!
