Usually I only rarely make jam or jam in small portions. And this is not because there would be no cravings to get it ready, but because they do not have an adequate storage space.
For some time I was flirting with the idea of ordering a few jars of jam from Bunatati from nature , I had spotted some super delicious assortments there, to make your mouth water. I was very happy when I received the package with the price jars. I opened each jar separately, eager to feel the perfect tastes. Of all the hot pepper jam, it was the one that irretrievably conquered me with its sweet-spicy taste.
The first impulse was to spread it on a slice of bread and eat it as such :))) but I came back to this idea and decided that a focaccia with hot pepper jam would go well 😉
- 500 g flour
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 250 ml of warm water
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 7 g dry yeast
- 2-3 tablespoons olive oil
- hot pepper jam
- ground ginger
Preparation of Focaccia with hot pepper jam:
In a bowl, mix the flour with the dry yeast, sugar and salt. Add water and oil and knead a homogeneous dough, soft but non-sticky. Leave to rise until it doubles in volume.
- the dough can also be prepared in a bread machine
Put the dough in a tray well greased with oil and spread it well by hand. After spreading the dough, grease it well with oil and start making small holes in the dough with your fingertips. Spread evenly over the hot pepper jam and sprinkle with ground ginger. Let it rest a little in a warm place.
Put the pan in the oven over medium heat, for about half an hour, until the focaccia browns. Allow to cool then portion as desired.
It can be served as such or instead of bread for breakfast 😉
