Fried Papanasi

Ingredients:

ss:

  • 275 gr fresh cheese
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 200 gr flour + for sprinkling the top
  • 1/2 sachet baking powder
  • a pinch of salt
  • vanilla sugar
  • grated lemon peel
  • frying oil
  • fermented sour cream and jam to serve
Method of preparation:
In a bowl put the cheese, eggs, sugar, salt, vanilla sugar and lemon peel. Homogenize the composition well.
Add flour and baking powder and mix a slightly sticky dough with your fingertips.
Sprinkle a little flour on a wooden countertop. \ Roll out the dough 7-8 mm thick with a rolling pin.
With a cup or a round shape we cut circles (the width of the mouth of the glass must be depending on how big we want the papanas to be).
With a dui we make a hole in the middle.
We gather the dough that remains between the circles, we spread it in the form of a roll and we cut as many pieces as we have circles. We give each piece the shape of a ball.
Bake the papanas in turn in hot oil.
Remove the papanas on absorbent paper.
We serve papanasii with jam (preferably blueberries) and sour cream.
