Ingredients:

  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 500 g white flour
  • 100 ml water
  • 150 ml of milk
  • 30 ml olive oil
  • 10 g dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • For anointed:
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • sea salt
  • hot pepper flakes

Preparation Garlic buns:

We put the crushed garlic to infuse it in hot milk. We leave it until it cools and reaches a bearable temperature at the fingertips.
I prepared the dough in the bread machine, the kneading + leavening program.

Put flour and salt in the pan of the bread machine. Yeast mixed with sugar and honey, dissolve in a little warm water. Pour over the flour, add the rest of the water, the milk with the garlic and the oil. Knead an elastic and homogeneous dough.

After the dough has risen, turn it over on the floured table and divide it into approximately 8 equal pieces. Form the buns by pulling the dough towards the bottom, forming a kind of loaf. We put them in the tray lined with baking paper, at a distance from each other.
Let them rise for another 15-20 minutes, then grease them with milk mixed with oil. Sprinkle with salt and pepper flakes.

Bake on medium heat until golden brown.
