I already smell the holidays, it's snowing, I started carols and started gingerbread! We have prepared a simple recipe that does not require much care and you can prepare it together with the little ones, who will be happy to let you help them. I glazed them with white chocolate, but you can also use dark chocolate, powdered icing with lemon juice or royal icing. Otherwise decorated to your liking, imagination and talent (I'm not so talented at decorating, instead I'm glad I came out with such a delicious gingerbread) !!!

Ingredients:

  • 150 gr butter
  • 100 gr brown sugar with molasses (150 gr if you like sweeter)
  • 2 eggs
  • 100 ml of milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 sachet of vanilla bourbon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon filled with gingerbread spice
  • 500-550 gr flour
For the glaze:
  • 150 gr white chocolate
  • 5 tablespoons milk
  • green, red dye
  • various decorations
Method of preparation:
In a bowl put the butter at room temperature.
Start mixing it, add the sugar during this time and the vanilla sugar with bourbon.
Add eggs and mix until the sugar crystals are no longer felt.
Stir in the milk and mix gently, then the baking soda.
Flour or sift.
Start adding it gradually, add the gingerbread spice.
Mix as much as you can, then give up the mixer and knead by hand.
The dough must be homogeneous, non-sticky and easy to work.

Take half of it, spread a sheet too thin with the twister.
Cut the gingerbread into various shapes.

Place it in the tray, on baking paper, with the distance between them.
Do this until you have finished all the dough.
Preheat the oven to 170 degrees.
Put the gingerbread in the hot oven for 10 minutes, no more.
Remove it after this time, let it cool.

White chocolate, broken into pieces, together with the milk, melt it on a steam bath, stirring constantly.
In a small container put a little melted chocolate and red dye, and in another melted chocolate and green dye. Mix well.
Grease each gingerbread with chocolate, then decorate it as you like.

Place them back on baking paper and let them dry well.
Store them in metal boxes with lids in a cool place.
