Gogosi post recipe
For today, I propose a recipe for fasting donuts. For those who fast and do not know what to sweeten their day and more. They are so good and fluffy that you won’t even realize they are fasting, without milk and eggs 😉
healthy fasting donuts
- 500 g flour
- ~ 250 ml of warm water
- 50 ml oil
- 7 g dry yeast or 25 g fresh yeast
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2-3 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon lemon extract or any other spice you like
Preparation Fasting donuts:
In a bowl mix all the dry ingredients: flour, salt, sugar and dry yeast. Gradually pour the warm water, incorporate the essence and knead until you get a homogeneous dough, slightly sticky.
Add the oil and knead until the dough no longer sticks to your hands. Cover with a towel and leave to rise until the dough doubles in volume.

- if you use fresh yeast, dissolve it in warm water
After the dough has risen enough, take it out on the table greased with a little oil, knead it to get the air out, then spread it in a sheet about 0.5 cm thick. We cut the desired shapes and leave a little more on the table to grow.
Fry in an oil bath. Fry over low heat on both sides. Remove on an absorbent towel, then while still hot roll in powdered sugar.
