Granddaughter Stefania is the one who starts the parties for us. If last year he wanted a cake train , this year he decided to cake Hello Kitty , after oscillating between most of the cartoon characters. :))))

Ingredients:

  • For rectangular worktop:
  • 8 eggs
  • 150 g sugar
  • 4 tablespoons oil
  • 200 g flour
  • 40 g black cocoa
  • 1 baking powder
  • vanilla and rum essence
  • 50 g ground walnuts
  • 25 g grated dark chocolate
  • For round countertop:
  • 6 eggs
  • 100 g sugar
  • 3 tablespoons oil
  • 120 g flour
  • 20 g cocoa
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • vanilla and rum essence
  • 50 g ground walnuts
  • 25 g grated dark chocolate
  • For syrup:
  • 150 g sugar
  • 250 ml water
  • esenta de rom
  • For the cream:
  • 800 g dark chocolate
  • 1 liter sour cream
  • 50 butter
  • 500 g mascarpone
  • 100 g sugar
  • Chocolate glaze:
  • 200 g dark chocolate
  • 100 g butter
  • 100 ml liquid cream

How to prepare Hello Kitty Cake:

Countertops:

The process of preparing the tops is the same, only I baked twice, one in a rectangular tray of 25/35 cm and a round one in a tray with a diameter of 24 cm.

Whisk the egg whites with a pinch of salt, then add the sugar and mix until glossy, like meringue. Beat the yolks in the oil until they become like a cream, then pour over the egg white foam. Add vanilla sugar and flour mixed with baking powder, ground walnuts, grated chocolate and cocoa. Mix well by mixing gently with a spatula.

Pour the composition into a tray lined with baking paper and put in the oven until lightly browned on top. The toothpick is tested. Remove the tops on a grill and leave to cool.

Syrup:

Boil the water with the sugar for a few minutes. Set aside and leave to cool, then add the rum essence.

Chocolate cream:

We melt the broken chocolate pieces together with the butter and cream for the whipped cream. Bring to the boil, set aside and mix. Let cool until the cream cools and begins to harden.

Separately mix the mascarpone with the sugar until the sugar melts and we get a fluffy cream. Then add the chocolate cream, in several portions, and mix lightly.

We will divide the cream into 4.

Cut the cooled countertops into 3. Syrup and fill with cream. Over the rectangular top we will pour the chocolate icing:

Melt the chocolate over low heat with butter and whipped cream. Homogenize and leave to cool, then pour evenly over the counter.

On top we put the round top from which we cut a piece, so as to obtain the cat's ears.

I decorated it with lots of whipped cream :)) and colorful candies.
