Dear ones I don't know about you, but this suffocating weather makes me so hungry for ice cream that you can't even imagine! :)) And so, my collection of ice cream recipes has been enriched with another one, after I experienced something, but this has become one of my favorites. Okay, an extra advantage is the fact that it has chocolate :))))

I prepared this ice cream for the ice cream machine, which this summer will have its well-established place on the kitchen counter :)) But it can be prepared very well even if you do not have this device available, it is very easy, only that you have to stir in it once an hour to break the ice needles.

Before you start preparing, make sure that you have a good quality chocolate, because the final result depends a lot on it. For an intense cocoa taste, use a chocolate with a high cocoa content, if you want something sweeter and lighter in terms of cocoa, use a milk chocolate.

  • 2 tablespoons starch
  • 150 g sugar
  • 250 ml milk
  • 350 ml unsweetened condensed milk
  • 150 g chocolate
  • 200 ml whipped cream

How to prepare Homemade ice cream with chocolate:

In a saucepan mix the sugar with the starch, then pour a little milk, mixing well so that no lumps form. Bring to a boil over low heat (or in a baine marie, to make sure it doesn't stick to the bottom of the pan and smoke) until the composition starts to thicken. Set aside and add the broken chocolate pieces. Homogenize and leave to cool.

Then pour the condensed milk and cream for the whipped cream and mix well.

  • If you prepare chocolate ice cream without an ice cream machine, beat the whipped cream before adding it and mix lightly with a spatula.

If it is not cold enough, we put the composition in the freezer for half an hour, then we pour it into the bowl of the ice cream machine, a bowl that we kept in the freezer overnight.

Process for 30-40 minutes, until the ice cream hardens enough.

  • Ice cream will only be good to eat with a teaspoon. If you want it to be stronger, put it in a saucepan and put it in the freezer until it freezes completely
