Although Christmas is almost over, I haven't made a list of cake recipes yet . There are many cakes I would make, there are many that I like… What is certain is that I will make cookies, so that I can respect the tradition of waiting for Santa with goodies and milk. 😀 Besides these, I will also make this cake with chocolate and vanilla , not necessarily because it has such a festive air, but because the dwarves liked it very much. 😉

Ingredients:

  • For the chocolate cake:
  • 100 g butter
  • 100 g dark chocolate
  • 100 g sugar
  • 2 tablespoons black cocoa
  • 200 g flour
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 baking powder

  • For the vanilla cake:
  • 6 eggs
  • 6 tablespoons sugar
  • 3 tablespoons oil
  • 6 tablespoons flour
  • 50 g white chocolate
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • vanilla essence

Preparation Chocolate and vanilla cake:

Chocolate check:

  • The quantities for the chocolate cake are for a generous portion. What remains can be served as such, the dwarfs with yogurt or milk, the big ones with coffee. :)) Or you can make cakes on a stick . 😉

Melt the butter and chocolate in a bowl, over low heat or in the microwave. Mix the composition until it becomes creamy. Then add the sugar and after it has melted add a pinch of salt, rum essence to taste and eggs one by one, mixing well after each. At the end we incorporate flour mixed with baking powder and cocoa.

Put the composition in a large baking tray lined with baking paper and bake on medium heat for about 20-25 minutes. The countertop will be glossy and firm to the touch. Leave to cool then cut the desired shapes.

Vanilla check:

Whisk the egg whites with a pinch of salt. Rub the yolks well with oil and vanilla essence to taste. Add the sugar in the egg white foam and mix until you get a dense and shiny foam. Add the yolk emulsion and mix lightly. At the end, add the flour mixed with baking powder and grated white chocolate on a small grater.

In the cake pan greased with oil and wallpaper we pour a part of the white composition, then in the middle of the tray we put a row of stars, next to each other.

Pour over the rest of the white composition and put in the oven over medium heat for about half an hour.

Leave to cool then slice.
