I recently discovered that there is sweetened condensed milk in Auchan. I took a few 😀 boxes, to be… I knew from the beginning that I want a cake with an intense sweet milk taste, so I didn't add too many ingredients in the delicious cream. I recommend you put this cake on your list of recipes to try and make it as soon as possible. 😉 It helped me recharge my batteries for the week that just started! :))
- For the countertop:
- 3 eggs
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 4 tablespoons ground walnuts
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- For the cream:
- 1 can of sweetened condensed milk (400 g)
- 2-3 tablespoons evaporated / condensed milk
- 200 ml whipped cream
- 1 sachet of vanilla sugar
- 5 g gelatin
Preparation Cake with dulce de leche:
First of all I prepared Dulce de Leche according to the method I showed you HERE . I boiled the milk box (unopened) in a pan with water for 2 hours, then left to cool.
Whisk the egg whites with a pinch of salt. Add the sugar and vanilla extract and beat until you get a glossy foam like meringue. Incorporate the yolks mixed with oil, then flour in which we mixed ground walnuts and baking powder. Mix lightly with a spatula, moving from the bottom up.
The composition is poured into a tray (18 cm in diameter) lined with baking paper. Bake on medium heat for about 30 minutes. The toothpick will be tested. Remove the top on a grill, leave to cool, then cut into 2 parts.
Put the gelatin in a bowl and cover with cold water. Leave to hydrate for 10 minutes.
Put dulce de leche in a bowl and add a little evaporated milk, just enough to get a homogeneous cream, to be able to mix it. Whip the whipped cream with the vanilla sugar until it becomes fluffy. Pour it into the bowl over the dulce de leche and mix well with the mixer.
Melt the gelatin on a steam bath (or in the microwave for a few seconds). Take a few tablespoons of cream and mix with hot gelatin, stirring vigorously. Now we mix the two compositions.
In the tray in which we baked the top we put a top, 2/3 of the cream and cover with the second top. let cool until the cream hardens. Remove the cake on a plate, cover with the rest of the cream and sprinkle with grated chocolate.
If you like syrupy cakes, you can make a simple water syrup with caramelized sugar to moisten the countertop sheets.
