- 400 g red lentils
- 1/2 white onion
- 1 carrot
- 1 potato
- 1.5 l of water
- 2 tablespoons sunflower oil
- 1 turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 cube butter (50 g)
- for serving:
- black sesame
- greasy cream
- hot Chilli
Here’s how to prepare lentil cream with cumin and black sesame at Multicooker Crock-Pot Express
Method of preparation:
Peel and wash the onion, carrot and potato.
Wash the lentils in a stream of cold water and allow to drain.
Connect the Multicooker Crock-Pot Express pressure cooker to a power source.
Unfold and remove the appliance cover.
Put 2 tablespoons of oil in the bowl of the appliance, add the vegetables and lentils. Add a teaspoon of cumin seeds and a bay leaf.
Select the Brown / Sauté function, the Low pressure and the cooking time of 5 minutes. Press the Start / Stop key. At this point, Heat appears on the electronic display, a sign that the device is heating up. When it reaches the optimum temperature, it will start cooking according to the selected parameters.
Stir occasionally. After 5 minutes, add warm water over the lentils. Add salt and place the lid on, locking it in the closed position. Turn the steam valve to close.
Select the Meat / Stew function, High pressure, cooking time 10 minutes.
After 10 minutes, press the Start / Stop key.
With the help of a kitchen tongs or a thermal glove, turn the steam valve open, as it begins to release.
After all the steam has been released, unlock the lid and remove.
It smells great! The lentils are boiled so well that all that remains is to be mashed.
The lentils are transferred to a blender, removing the bay leaf.
Here it remains at your choice how dense or liquid you want to serve. I used less juice to make it more creamy.
Add a cube of butter, a turmeric powder, match the taste with salt. Pass finely.
Serve with sour cream, hot paprika, ground cumin powder and black sesame seeds!
