As a fish lover, today I share my recipe for Mackerel in tomato sauce with olives at the Crock-Pot Express Multicooker with pressure cooking.

The mackerel is an affordable fish, and the tomato sauce with olives, very tasty and suitable for fish in general. I used the Crock-Pot® Express Multicooker with pressure cooking and I would like to tell you with my hand on my heart, everything was ready in 10 minutes. Perfect for lunch, especially when you don’t want to spend hours cooking, but also supervising the food.

Ingredients:

  • 4 -5 pieces of mackerel
  • salt
  • 50 gr olive oil
  • 100 gr cherry tomatoes
  • 400 ml tomato paste
  • 3-4 green onion threads
  • 30 ml of sunflower oil
  • optional:
  • chilli powder
  • green parsley

Method of preparation:

The fish is cleaned and portioned, powdered with salt.

Wash tomatoes and green onions. Cut the onion into small slices.

The Crock-Pot Express Multicooker with pressure cooking connects to a power source.

Remove the lid and put the oil in the Crock-Pot Express Multicooker bowl with pressure cooking.

Press BROWN / SOTE, set the time to 10 minutes and press START / STOP.

Add green onions and some tomatoes. Add the fish, olives, the rest of the cherry tomatoes.

When the fish is browned, add the tomato sauce, a pinch of salt, chilli powder to the pot and close the lid.

Press the MEAT / STEW button, set the pressure to LOW and the time for 10 minutes.

Check that the steam valve is closed SEAL / CLOSE and press the START / STOP button.

After the cooking time is over, release the steam and leave it for 10-15 minutes, then carefully open the lid, using a kitchen glove.

The fish cooked great, and the sauce is absolutely delicious! It can be garnished with freshly chopped green parsley.
