I don't know what this name comes from. Probably from the fact that it breaks with the hand when eating. Monkey bread is nothing more than a large stack of dough balls that have been rolled in butter and sugar before baking. 🙂
Monkey bread muffins recipe
“>1/4 cup hot water
“>2 teaspoons and 1/2 dry yeast
“>1 teaspoon salt
“>3 tablespoons sugar
“>2 tablespoons melted butter
“>200 g brown sugar
“>1/2 cup melted butter
Preparation Monkey bread:
I put all the ingredients in the pan of the bread machine during the kneading + leavening program.
We mix the sugar with cinnamon. Grease a heat-resistant dish with butter then sprinkle with cinnamon-flavored sugar.
From the raised dough we form small balls in the bridge of the palms. We give each ball of dough through melted butter, then we roll it through the aromatic sugar. The balls well coated with sugar, we place them in the heat-resistant vessel,
then cover the bowl with cling film and let the dough rise until it doubles in volume.
