My dears, I propose for the weekend a recipe as simple as possible. You don't have much to do with it, and the result is delicious.
- 125 g fresh mozzarella
- 2 eggs
- 4-5 tablespoons breadcrumbs
- salt and pepper
- 1 tablespoon dried spices (green onion, parsley, lemon, coriander, garlic, ginger, hot pepper, turmeric)
- frying oil
Method of preparation:
Put the mozzarella in a strainer to drain the whey well. If necessary, cover them with a paper towel, then put them on a plate and put in the freezer for a few hours. I left them overnight.
In a plate, beat the eggs well with a little salt and pepper. In another plate mix the breadcrumbs with salt (to taste) and dry spices.
I bought this mixture of dry spices, but you can replace it with anything else you like.
We pass the mozzarella balls through the egg, then through the flavored breadcrumbs. We repeat the operation, in order to have a thicker and crispier crust
Fry the mozzarella balls in a well-heated oil bath until golden. While they are frying, we turn them on all sides with a spatula.
Remove on an absorbent towel to drain excess oil.
