The children expressed their desire to eat some cake . Well, and as I had in my head for a long time the recipe for muffins from Ancuta , I thought that now is the time 🙂 For the dough I made the cake recipe , which I usually make.
- It took:
- 2 eggs
- 10 g dry yeast
- 100 g sugar
- 200 ml of milk
- 60 g butter
- ~ 550 g flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon candied orange peel
- For the filling:
- 100 g ground walnuts
- 100 g bitter chocolate
- 50 g sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 50 g butter
Preparation of muffins "Cherry blossoms":
Mix the yeast with 1 tablespoon of sugar, a little warm milk and a little flour. Homogenize and leave in a warm place until it swells and blisters appear on the surface.
Put the mayonnaise in the pan of the bread machine or in the bowl if it is kneaded by hand, then add the eggs, the rest of the sugar, the salt, the melted and cooled butter, the orange peel, the remaining milk and the flour little by little. Knead until all the ingredients are incorporated and obtain an elastic dough. Let it rise until it doubles in volume.
The ground walnut is mixed with the sugar, chopped chocolate and cinnamon.
Roll out the dough on a table greased with a little oil and spread it into a rectangle, about 0.5 cm thick. Grease with soft butter, then sprinkle the chocolate mixture with walnuts. Roll the sheet on the short side as tightly as possible. Spread the dough again in a rectangular sheet and roll it again, also on the short side.
Cut slices 2-3 cm thick, with a sharp knife or a piece of thread. Each slice is then grown from place to place with scissors, thus forming the petals. It is placed in the muffin tray lined with special papers.
Leave it to rise for a while, in a warm place, then put the tray in the oven for about half an hour, over medium heat.
