Usually I don't really buy donuts from the city, but one day I gave in to the requests and the smell coming from the donut shop :)) Obviously one was not enough for their unbridled appetite for donuts, so Robert still study… take another sip, study it a little more… „Mommy, I'm sure you can do this at home too. But more! ” :)) Eiii… and how could I refuse them?
For me, donuts mean those small and fluffy things, but now I wanted to respect the model from the donut shop, as they wanted. But I can't call them donuts, because they look too much like cakes :))
- 250 ml of warm milk
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 7 g dry yeast
- ~ 500 g flour
- powdered sugar for serving
Preparation of Gingerbread:
Put the flour in a bowl and mix it with the sugar, salt and dry yeast. We mix the warm milk with the oil and slowly pour it over the flour. Knead a homogeneous and non-sticky dough. Depending on the type of flour used, add more milk if necessary if the dough is too thick or a little flour if the dough is soft and sticky. Cover with a clean towel and leave to rise in a warm place until it doubles in volume.
- The dough can also be prepared in a bread machine.
The raised dough is kneaded lightly to remove the air, then it is broken by hand into suitable large pieces. Each piece of dough is spread thinly, with your hand greased with oil. Without leaving them to rise, they are fried in a pan with a little oil.
Remove on an absorbent towel and while hot, powder with sugar.
Good appetite! 😉
