potato with meat and sauce bechamel

My dwarfs don't want to accept that "much green" from me on the plate :)) and even if I sometimes fool them, sometimes I make them something that I know they will eat without much fad. So here's an idea for you too… a delicious idea, for lunch or dinner… potatoes with meat in Bechamel sauce, baked in the oven, to be a good thing. :))

  • For 2 small servings:
  • 2 medium potatoes
  • ~ 100 g turkey breast
  • salt and pepper
  • hot pepper flakes
  • dried oregano
  • green rosemary
  • For Bechamel sauce:
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon flour
  • ~ 200 ml milk
  • 50 g cheese
  • salt and pepper
  • nutmeg

Preparation Potatoes with meat and Bechamel sauce:

Cut the meat into cubes, peel the potatoes and cut them into thin slices.

Melt the butter over low heat, add the flour and mix continuously, so that no lumps form. Pour the cold milk, little by little and mix until it starts to thicken. If it thickens too much, add more milk, we must have a thin sauce. Add the grated cheese. Season to taste with salt, pepper and nutmeg.

In a heat-resistant bowl greased with a little butter, put a layer of potato slices, sprinkle with a few sprigs of rosemary, season to taste with salt and pepper. Then add the meat and season with salt, hot pepper flakes and dried oregano.

Cover with another layer of potatoes, then pour the Bechamel sauce evenly. Put the dish in the oven over medium heat until the potatoes are lightly browned on top.

Serve hot.
