Today we enjoy a simple recipe with new potatoes. Usually, new potatoes are fried in a cauldron and served as a garnish. Musai with garlic sauce 😉 But because today was "meatless day" I made this sauce with sour cream, to be a little more consistent. And good! :))
- 1 kg of new potatoes
- For the sauce:
- 50 g butter
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 200 ml of milk
- 3-4 tablespoons sour cream
- 1/2 head of garlic (to taste)
- salt and pepper
- green dill
Preparation New potatoes with sour cream sauce:
Wash the potatoes well with a harsher sponge. It does not peel. If they are small, we leave them whole, if they are bigger, they are cut in half.
Fry in a pot of hot oil. When they are brown, sprinkle a little salt and remove on an absorbent towel.
- If you want a lighter recipe you can boil the potatoes instead of frying them.
Meanwhile, prepare the sour cream sauce: melt the butter over low heat. Add flour and mix vigorously, so that no lumps form. Slowly pour the milk and mix. Boil the composition until it starts to thicken. Add the sour cream and bring the composition to the boil. Salt and pepper to taste, add crushed garlic and chopped green dill.
Pour the sauce over the potatoes and serve quickly, while the dish is hot.
Good appetite! 😉
