They are very good with coffee and are made very quickly.
Ingredients for Rosinenschnecke – Snails with raisins :
- 1 sachet of vanilla pudding
- 350-400 ml milk
- 4 tablespoons sugar
- 1 handful of raisins
- 1 sheet of puff pastry
Preparation of Snails with raisins :
First we prepare the pudding according to the instructions on the package, only we put less milk to make it thicker. Then let it cool a bit, covered with cling film.
Spread the pudding over the puff pastry in a uniform layer, sprinkle the raisins on top, then roll from one end to the other or from the opposite sides simultaneously until they meet in the middle.
With a very sharp knife we cut thick slices of approx. 1 cm and place them in a tray lined with baking paper.
Put the snails in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes or until they start to brown nicely.
Before serving we can powder them with a little powdered sugar, I made a syrup of 3-4 tablespoons of sugar and 4 tablespoons of water, I boiled it for about 10 minutes until it started to thicken, then I poured on each piece a teaspoon of this syrup .
