100 ml water
200 ml of milk
150 g wholemeal flour
350 g white flour
2 teaspoons dry yeast
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar
2 tablespoons oil
Mix the yeast with the sugar and dissolve it with a little warm water. Leave it to rise for 10 minutes.
In the bowl of the bread machine we put the flour mixed with salt, over which we add the mayo. We put the rest of the water and the oil and let the machine do its job. 🙂 I used the kneading + leavening program.
After this interval in which the dough has grown nicely and doubled in volume, we turn it over on the table greased with oil.
It is divided into 4 equal parts, which we then make rolls about 40 cm long.
We place them perpendicular to each other, as in the famous X and O. 🙂
Tighten the rollers in the middle and twist two by two, counterclockwise.
Continue with the next row, this time clockwise.
Then again the other way around, and so on until we finish knitting.
Insert the ends under the coil and press lightly.
I placed the bread in a heat-resistant dish, on the bottom of which I put baking paper and left it in a warm place until it doubled in volume.
After about 20 minutes, I greased it with beaten egg and sprinkled with sesame seeds.
I baked it over medium heat for about 35 minutes.
