I craved something sweet, and here’s what i cook’d for me and my kids! Is you can see,it’s tasty and it have flavour! And believe me they are very good!
- 900 g spatzle
- 4-6 tablespoons butter
- 4 tablespoons ground poppy seeds
- 4 tablespoons sugar
- powdered sugar for powdering on top
For the cherry sauce:
- 1 compote (720 g) pitted cherries
- 1-2 tablespoons starch or flour
- 1/2 lemon
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 cinnamon stick
Method of preparation
Drain the syrup from the cherries in a saucepan and put it on the stove to heat. Starch or flour is mixed in a plate with sugar, 4 tablespoons of compote syrup and lemon juice.
Pour the starch mixture over the pan syrup and boil with the cinnamon stick for 2-3 minutes until it thickens, stirring with a whisk. When ready, remove from the heat, remove the cinnamon stick and add the cherries over the sauce. Keep warm.
In a ceramic pan or saucepan, melt the butter over a suitable heat. Add the whole amount of spatzle and fry for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
At the end, sprinkle the poppy seeds and sugar over them and mix well until the sugar is caramelized.
Remove from the heat and serve with hot cherry sauce. They can be powdered with a little powdered sugar.
