Strawberry shortcake with yogurt cream

Let it be a week since I spent with dear friends, 1 year since their little and dear miracle was born. And how could we have gone to this special occasion without a cake? :))

I chose to make a creamy, refreshing cake recipe with yogurt cream and full of fruit, especially strawberries, as they are the most handy now.

Strawberry shortcake with yogurt cream


  • 100 g white chocolate
  • 100 ml whipped cream
  • 10 g gelatin
  • 300 g fat yogurt
  • 500 g strawberries
  • biscuits for decoration

Preparation Cake with strawberries and yogurt cream:

Gelatin is hydrated in a few tablespoons of cold water.

The broken chocolate melts the pieces over low heat together with the whipped cream. When it reaches the boiling point, set it aside and mix well. Allow to cool slightly, then add gelatin and mix. Refrigerate the dish for a few hours, until the composition cools very well and thickens.

We cut the strawberries into slices (or strips or cubes). We keep a few for decoration.

Mix the white chocolate cream for a few minutes, until it gets a little thick. Add the yogurt and mix. At the end, incorporate the strawberries, mixing gently.

Wallpaper a small cake tray (18 cm in diameter) or in a pan with food foil. Put the biscuits around the tray, then pour the yogurt cream. Cover with foil and refrigerate for a few hours, preferably overnight, until the cream hardens.

The cake is turned over on the plate and garnished with the preserved strawberries.
