Preparation Sweet buns with oranges:

Mix the yeast with 1 tablespoon of sugar, a little warm milk and a little flour. Homogenize and leave in a warm place until it swells and blisters appear on the surface. Put the mayonnaise in the pan of the bread machine, then add the eggs, the rest of the sugar, the salt, the melted and cooled butter, the orange peel, the remaining milk and the flour little by little. Knead until all the ingredients are incorporated and obtain an elastic dough. Let it rise until it doubles in volume.

  • the dough can be kneaded by hand, the procedure is the same

Pour the dough on a lightly floured or greased table and divide the dough into 12 equal parts. We round each piece of dough between the palms, giving it the shape of a ball. Place the balls in a tray well greased with oil. Let it rise for about 15-20 minutes, grease it with beaten egg yolk and add it to the oven over medium heat, until it browns nicely on top.

Prepare the syrup about 10 minutes before it is ready. Put the juice in a bowl with the sugar and honey, then over low heat until it reaches boiling point. Mix well, melt the sugar and pour so hot over the buns. Put the tray back in the oven until they are ready, well browned.
