The 6th edition of the Festival of Asian Cultures – Asia Fest , which takes place between November 16 and 18 at Romexpo (pavilion C3) has as a special guest Turkey and brings to the Bucharest public 3 days of performances with specific music and dances, Traditional Asian cuisine, workshops, exhibitions and many surprises that visitors will surely enjoy. Admission is 10 lei, and children under 5 have free access.
During the three days, the event aims to travel to the farthest corners of the great continent so that culture lovers, both traditional and contemporary, can experience distant Asia. From Indian spices to cosmetics, books, decorations and kimonos from Japan, Turkish coffee, Korean kimchi and anime, all of them can be found at the stands in the exhibition of services and products.
Rhythms from the Bosphorus with Deniz CEM (Turkey) will resound on the Asia Fest 2018 stage, as well as jazz chords from Aylin & The Lucky Charms and, in addition to concerts, the spectators will also have the long-awaited Cosplay, Kendama and K- Pop, but also a spectacular presentation of traditional Asian costumes. Over 50 traditional costumes from Japan, Turkey, South Korea, India, Indonesia will parade on Saturday, November 17, on the Asia Fest stage.
In the cosmopolitan food area you will meet traditional dishes but also exclusive gastronomic experiments, and visitors will be able to taste India, Turkey, Syria, Lebanon, Thailand, China, Japan and, for the first time at this edition, Indonesia and will be able to discover gastronomy. Asian beyond sushi, spring packets and shanghai chicken, in an explosion of flavors and flavors.
Lovers of Japanese dishes will have the opportunity to try, along with traditional sake drinks, Choya liqueurs made from Ume fruit or Asahi beer, and the Turkish Cultural Center Yunus Emre will support demonstrations of the preparation of the legendary Turkish teas and coffees.
Asia Fest is a multicultural dialogue that celebrates Asian culture, bringing to Bucharest, often for the first time, both traditions and the contemporary from places full of mystery and inspiration.
