Turkey roll with herbs

My "carnivores" would be very happy if I gave them daily steak or snails :)) but as it suits a mom with a culinary blog :)) I try to diversify their options and tasty with few ingredients why not make them? And besides, why shouldn't I show you too? :))))

So, a turkey roll with aromatic herbs, which can be served hot, with your favorite garnish or cold as an appetizer. You can also make an excellent sandwich for breakfast. The choice is yours! 😉

Turkey roll with herbs

  • a piece of turkey breast (~ 400 g)
  • ~ 75 g butter
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • salt and pepper

Preparation Turkey roll with herbs:

In the soft butter, left at room temperature, incorporate the oregano and basil.

  • If you have fresh herbs you can use them, it will be much better

The turkey breast is cut into slices the thickness of a finger. Cover each slice with cling film and beat with a hammer into slices until thin.

Place the slices obtained on another piece of foil, side by side, as compact as possible. The "sheet" obtained is greased with aromatic butter, then rolled with the help of foil.

We tighten the ends well and make a knot. Put another layer of foil on top (for safety) and boil the roll in boiling water for about 15-20 minutes.

Remove the roll from the water, let it drain well and cool, remove the foil from it, then lightly fry it on all sides in a pan in which I put 2 tablespoons of oil. Remove on an absorbent towel and after cooling, slice as desired.

Good appetite! 😉
