Turkey stew in potato crust recipe

I'm in the middle of the vegetarian period (ovo-lacto-vegetarian, let's face it! 😉) but the children like eating meat . So, let's make some meat recipes , some that are very easy and fast, because maybe we have other things to do! :))

Ingredients:

  • For turkey stew:
  • 1 turkey upper leg (boneless)
  • 1 large onion
  • 4-5 tomatoes
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • salt and pepper
  • For potato crust:
  • 4 medium potatoes in size
  • 50 g butter
  • 50 g telemea
  • 1 or
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 tablespoons parmesan (optional)

Preparation Turkey stew in potato crust:

Boil the potatoes in salted water. When they are ready, we crush them as for puree, then add the butter, the crushed telemeau. egg, salt and pepper to taste. Homogenize by stirring vigorously.

Finely chop the onion and lightly fry it in a few tablespoons of oil. When it has softened and become translucent, add the meat cut into pieces and cook together for a few minutes, until the meat turns white.

We burn the tomatoes, peel them and pass them. Then pour into the pan over the meat, cover with a lid and simmer until the meat is well cooked and the juice has dropped to the desired consistency. Salt and pepper to taste, and finally add the crushed garlic.

Put the stew in a heat-resistant dish greased with a little oil, then cover with mashed potatoes.

Level so as to obtain a uniform layer, sprinkle with a little grated Parmesan cheese and bake on medium heat for about 25 minutes, until the potato crust is golden.
