As these cold days make me stay at home, we can't go out for bread either. And we don't really buy, because we prepare it at home. Today I made this Turkish bread, which is fluffy and very tasty! You can eat it empty with a cup of yogurt, soups, stews and other dishes. I really like how it came out and I will definitely prepare it again. Thanks for the recipe, Adina !

Ingredients:

:

  • 330 ml of warm water
  • 120 ml of warm milk
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 7 gr dry yeast (20 gr fresh)
  • 560 gr flour
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • salt
  • 1 egg yolk + 2 tablespoons milk
  • sesame seeds
  • Mac
Method of preparation:
In a bowl put warm water, yeast and mix.
Add milk and oil.
Sift the flour, pour it into the bowl over the liquids.
Sprinkle with sugar and salt.
Start and knead.
A slightly softer, slightly sticky dough will come out.
Cover the dough with a clean towel, leave it to rise in a warm place until it doubles in volume.

Sprinkle the flour on the work table, turn the dough over and divide it in half.
Prepare two trays with a diameter of 26 cm, cover them with baking paper.
Put a piece of dough in each tray, let them rest for 20 minutes.
After this time, with your hands, spread the bread to the edge of the tray, giving it a round shape. If the dough sticks to your hands, line them with a little flour.
Mix the yolk with the milk, grease the bread with a brush.
With the help of your fingers, a border is formed at about one cm from the edge, and in the middle lines are drawn in length and width, until you get some squares (you will see in the picture). This whole pattern is formed with the fingers.
Sprinkle poppy seeds and sesame seeds. You can also use other seeds.

Put them in the hot oven, at 170 degrees, for 20-25 minutes, until they are browned.

When they are ready, take them out of the oven and serve.
If there is any bread left, wrap it in foil to keep it tender.
