I still haven't found some good strawberries, so good that you can put your bowl in your arms and don't stop eating until you finish them. Either I have to wait… or I don't know where to look… Until another time I enjoy their aroma in another form 🙂
Carevasazica, I propose a too delicious roll with vanilla cream. Instead of strawberries you can put any other fruit you like, it will definitely be just as good.
- Rolled top:
- 5 eggs
- 5 tablespoons sugar
- 3 tablespoons oil
- 2 tablespoons hot water
- 5 tablespoons flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- vanilla essence
- Vanilla cream:
- 2 yolks
- 1 tablespoon starch
- 3 spoons of sugar
- 250 ml milk
- 100 g butter
- vanilla essence
- strawberries, how many you want and how many you have 😀
Preparation Roll with vanilla cream and strawberries:
Whisk the egg whites with a pinch of salt. Add the sugar and mix until you get a thick and shiny foam. Pour boiling water and mix vigorously.
Rub the yolks with oil and vanilla essence over the egg whites and mix lightly. At the end, incorporate the flour mixed with baking powder, mixing lightly with a spatula, with movements from bottom to top.
Pour the composition into the large tray on the stove (the one with the standard equipment) lined with baking paper and bake on medium heat for about 20 minutes. Remove the top from the tray, along with the paper and turn it over on another piece of baking paper on which we sprinkled a little caster sugar. Roll the top in paper and let it cool.
Mix the yolks with the sugar and starch. Pour the milk slowly and mix continuously, so that no lumps form. Put the pot on low heat or in a baine-marie and boil until the composition thickens like a pudding. Set aside and leave to cool. From time to time we mix, so that no pojghita is formed or we can cover with food foil and leave it like this until it cools completely.
Soft butter, at room temperature, mix until fluffy. In the cooled vanilla pudding, add the butter little by little, mixing well after each tranche. At the end we put the vanilla essence to taste and the strawberries cut into cubes and drained well of juice.
We open the top and let it cool a little. Spread the vanilla cream evenly with strawberries, then roll the top as tight as possible. Cut the corners and taste what a wonderful roll you made. :)) Satisfy yourself for about an hour while the roll is refrigerated and well wrapped in baking paper. :)) If you can't resist you can cut a slice, thinner… and it's not known :)))
