The weather outside doesn't really invite us to the category of summer recipes, but we will insist with an ice cream 😀 Even if it doesn't come sooner, we will at least make them in spite of it :))) On the other hand, I keep insisting with homemade ice cream, maybe-maybe I manage to convince who is worth investing in an ice cream machine :))
The vanilla ice cream recipe can be considered a basic recipe, a recipe from which we can start, then add flavors depending on your preference: chocolate, cocoa, nuts, raisins… the combinations are countless. Let's have imagination and lust! 😉
- 4 yolks
- 150 g sugar (if you prefer sweeter you can put 200 g)
- 400 ml whipped cream
- 100 ml of milk
- 75 g dark chocolate
- 1 sachet of vanilla sugar
- vanilla essence
Preparation Vanilla ice cream with chocolate:
Mix the yolks and sugar until a cream is obtained. Slowly pour the milk and 200 ml of whipped cream and mix well. Put the pot in a bain marie and boil the composition until it heats up very well and begins to thicken. Set aside and leave to cool.
The rest of the whipped cream is mixed with the vanilla sugar until it starts to acquire a fluffy consistency (it is not necessary to be firm), then it is incorporated in the composition of chilled eggs. It is flavored with vanilla essence to taste.
Put the dish in the freezer for a few hours, until it freezes. In the meantime, we will mix the ice cream composition several times to break the ice needles that form. It would be preferable to use the vertical mixer, it is more efficient. At the last mixing turn, incorporate the chopped chocolate with the knife, then leave it in the freezer until it is completely frozen.
