Eiii… and what if it's a little longer and the door knocks in the winter? I still haven't taken the ice cream machine out of the freezer :))) It's true that I don't make homemade ice cream like in the summer, but from time to time I still make a portion, to be enjoyed there in the pancake to a coffee… 😉
Today's recipe is as simple as possible, even shamefully simple :)) especially if you also have an ice cream machine at your disposal. But it was so good that you have to do it too! 😉
- 2 medium bananas, well ripened
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 200 ml whipped cream
- 1 vanilla sugar
- juice from half a lemon
- For caramel:
- 100 g sugar
- 100 ml cream for whipped cream / liquid whipped cream
- 50 g butter
How to prepare Banana Semifreddo:
Sprinkle the bananas with lemon juice, then pass them through the vertical mixer until you get a fine paste. Add honey and vanilla sugar, mix and then add whipped cream.
Pour the composition into the ice cream bowl and process until a fluffy and creamy texture is obtained.
- If you do not have an ice cream machine, beat the whipped cream, then incorporate it into the banana composition, mixing lightly with a spatula. Put in a saucepan and put in the freezer until it reaches a semi-frozen consistency.
The sugar is caramelized until golden and liquid. Set aside and pour the liquid cream (watch out for the steam!) Put it back on the fire and stir continuously until the caramel melts and the composition begins to thicken, at which point we add the butter. Stirring constantly, boil until the caramel reaches the desired consistency. Allow to cool.
Put banana semifreddo in cups or glasses, sprinkle with plenty of caramel sauce and serve immediately.
Good appetite! 😉
