After yesterday we heated the grills and we messed with "piglets" and mititei :)) today we move on to lighter food, namely lentil meatballs with mushrooms. I'm great with a tomato salad, but my dwarfs preferred a garlic sauce with sour cream and dill. 😉
- 200 g green lentils
- 200 g brown mushrooms
- 100 g smoked cheese
- 1 or
- 1 small onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- green parsley
- salt and pepper
- hot pepper flakes
- breadcrumbs and oil for frying
Preparation Lentil and mushroom meatballs:
The lentils washed well in several waters are boiled. Boil until soft, then drain in a strainer. Leave to cool.
Washed and cleaned mushrooms are boiled in salted water and a little lemon juice. When they are cooked, they are drained and cooled in a strainer.
Put the lentils and mushrooms in the bowl of the food processor, add the greens, onions, garlic and egg and mix. Pour the mixture into a bowl. If it is too soft, add a little breadcrumbs. Put the cheese on the grater with large mesh, season to taste.
With wet hands form meatballs of the right size. Roll them in breadcrumbs and fry them in hot oil. Remove on an absorbent towel.
- If you do not want to fry them in oil, you can opt for the oven baking option in a tray lined with baking paper.
Lentil and mushroom meatballs are served hot. In addition to tomato salad or garlic and sour cream sauce, I recommend making some poached eggs . It's good, very good! 😉
Good appetite! 😉
