Za'atar is used as such (sprinkled over hummus) or in the form of pasta (for marinating chicken, then prepared in the oven or on the grill)
Ingredients:
- * 2 teaspoons dried oregano
- * 2 teaspoons dried marjoram
- * 2 teaspoons dried thyme
- * 1/2 teaspoon salt
- * 2 teaspoons paprika
- * grated peel of 1 lemon
- * 40 g susan
How to prepare Za'atar:
Fry the sesame in an oil-free pan until golden.
Put the rest of the ingredients in the coffee grinder and grind until you get a fine powder.
Grind the sesame seeds, but short enough to break the seeds.
In a bowl, mix the spice powder well with the sesame seeds.
Store in an airtight jar.
